So for this weeks activity, i decided to do a poem. I wanted to so an image remix at first but it was a bit hard trying to figure it all out. That is when i decided to go onto my classmates page and create a remix poem out of their blog post. I used the third sentence of any random class activity to create my poem. I got the whole sentence but cut of the unnecessary.
I think it was pretty cool getting to do this activity because i got the chance to explore remixes of different things and find out creative ways to join things together. I think making a remix is a way to not only express your creativity but bring other things into one to represent one thing. So in my poem i am able to bring in some of my classmates words into one poem to signify the different cultures of art and others opinions.
Arts and culture is not an unfamiliar scene in society
It made me grow a new appreciation to the graffiti
Producing works that evoke certain emotions
Drove off to the magical wonderland of bedrooms
A picture represents a memory
It is not because I am a stereotyped guy
It was scary at first especially climbing on top
I wanted to juxtapose things
And try to make some kind of a statement
Internet culture gives a freedom to the internet culture because people are able to virtually express their artistic perspectives and talents as well. Being able to express yourself and make creative outcomes allows for the feelings of empowerment when their is positive feedback and the feeling of taking risk with negative feedback.
I think that although copyright is pretty strong, it still does not stop others from using the information. For people or companies that are more exposed, i do believe copyright serves its purpose but for those people who go on the internet and copy anything they find, it will not stop them from doing so. It can be strengthened to to not allows others from using information as their own.
The license i decided to use was the Attribution CC BY. The reason why i chose this copyright was because it allows other to use my work, whether its from remixes, distribution or build upon my work as long as they credit me for originally creating it. I think in most cases it will be ideal to always credit others for work that they used and this licence allows them to do so.

My experience of making my Remix piece was a bit challenging just because i had to go through many peoples pages and grab their third sentence and convert it into a poem. I thought it would be easier using their third sentence of any activity but it did not come out as i expected because it was not rhyming whats so ever. But over all it was a pretty cool experience.
